Whats really behind a game of strip poker, is it innocent fun, or just plain exhibitionism? Many would described the game of strip poker as just a game derived by exhibitionists hiding behind the mask of an innocent game of strip poker, others may say it's the perfect excuse to get the lady (or man) you may be longing after naked and hopefully in the sack.
The term exhibitionism is best described as the act of removing ones clothing and exhibiting naked parts, to openly display private parts of your body in public in order to obtain the attention of another or others.
Now let's not get exhibitionism confused with some of the other forms of public nudity such as;
- flashing, which most tend to categorized as a naked man in a raincoat exposing their private parts to unaware women on warm summer nights; however can also include women lifting their top or skirt and revealing their private parts;
- the rather childish act of mooning which tends to be done solely to shock or disgust women or passersby, often carried out by groups of drunken football players or their fans from the safety of a moving vehicle;
- the act of streaking in which sporting events are generally the target, but it can be anywhere a large crowd may gather, and generally is a result of dare or drunken stupidity or both.
The reasons or intentions why anyone exposes themselves in a public display could well be endless, but here are some of the primary reasons;
- boredom
- sexual frustration
- to shock the recipient
- to arouse the recipient
- their own sexual arousal
- as a dare, pressure by peers
- 15 seconds of fame on national news
- to fulfill their ego
- for the adrenaline rush
If we are honest with ourselves we all probably fit the bill in some of the above aspects or know people that do. Sure we try to hide our actions behind the most common of all excuses, alcohol, however the dark secret that we dare not tell anyone is that we actually did what we did not because we where in drunken state but because it makes us feel alive, the adrenaline rush, the sexual arousal and/or the risk of getting caught. In my thirties I climbed a rather large landmark in a drunken state, totally naked on a dare, it was the end of year office party with 200 of my work colleagues looking on, and no, I wasn't ashamed to turn up for work the following day.
The problem with exhibitionism and other closely associated acts of nudity, is that in most countries it will not only get you arrested but you'll probably end up in jail. Exhibitionism today may well be accepted by many but our legal system has yet to catch up.
Although Strip Poker has been around since early 70's it's popularity has really only increased with the advent of the internet and web cam technology. Even though very little organized or at least publicized live strip poker occurs on the internet, it has been a useful medium in promoting the awareness of the game and bringing into the homes of millions throughout the globe.
So what does strip poker offer that makes it so appealing?
Strip poker is a way in which adults of like minded thinking can relax, the rules of strip poker are varied and can be as lax or serious as the players agree on prior to commencing the game. It offers couples or groups of men and women the ability to be playful, flirtatious, provocative, to arouse their partners or exhibit themselves behind closed doors in the security of their home or via a web cam that can be switched off if things become uncomfortable. Strip poker allows people to lower their inhibitions, arouse their partners in a way they may not normally feel comfortable, with the game itself controlling how quickly the pace is set. Strip poker allows us to escape the stresses of our fast pace life-style and do something a little crazy without any harmful repercussions for our actions.
Whatever your reasons for indulging in a game of strip poker it really doesn't matter, your opponents are risking the shirt of their back to, and probably have the same inhibitions or reasons of joining in a game of strip poker as you do, so your emphasis should be on having fun, be flirtatious, tease a little and play hard!
