Well as a guy I’ve done my fair share of downright disgraceful things, some we are proud to talk or brag about amongst guys and others we pray that somehow we will forget with old age or through some other miraculous event, which leads you to tell you about one of my experiences and how a drink at a local bar turned into a strip poker match.
Several years ago I was visiting Shanghai on business I decided to get check out the local nightlife. Now if you haven’t been to Shanghai single male tourists need to know that it’s not considered proper to bang the locals even if you are one of them unless you are “married”, that’s right married. Now in past few years it’s getting a little less restrictive, however don’t be surprised when bringing a companion of the opposite sex into the hotel that the receptionist or night-manager asks you for evidence that your married, if you can’t produce that marriage certificate you’ll be sleeping in separate rooms for the night. Of course it’s not all that bad, generally slipping a folded note to the night-watch will generally get you buy without any interruption to your evenings activities.
Now Chinese girls are a little different from western girls, like a world apart, but don’t think these girls are the least bit naïve, one global common denominator is that women know how to seduce a man or at least separate the man from his wallet.
Now any well-traveled tourist knows that if you want to checkout the local scene for the first time ask a taxi-driver or a local, I asked both and got two totally different experiences. It seems some of the most memorable occasions will come from the local bars, these are very small drinking holes I can tell you, twenty to thirty people maximum, what makes these bars great are the types of employees that work there. The bars that are successful are the ones where either the girls that are bi-lingual or have a fantastic personality, most of these girls are generally extremely good looking and definitely determine how or if the bar is successful.
I tried several bars that evening, however the best was less than 30 meters from the Hotel I was staying in. As I walked into the bar at around 9pm I was greeted by several very attractive ladies, now these ladies aren’t hookers, they are paid staff, paid to entertain, the more you and your companion drink the more the bar makes. Unlike similar bars elsewhere in the world where the girls substitute their drinks for apple juice or something somewhat similar, these girls will match you drink for drink of hard liquor, and it isn’t too long before these small frame girls are struggling to keep their composure.
To cut a long story short as the night continued at lot of the barriers dropped and my hostess was getting extremely friendly as well as the staff behind the counter. Don’t get me wrong though these girls weren’t going to give out easily, but they were very interested in getting me naked. Now I’m not exactly ignorant to the Chinese way of life, and I will say I was very aware that the local law enforcement wouldn’t take to nicely to any inappropriate behavior, however these girls were very persuading. After several hours in the bar one of the bar girls suggested a game of strip poker, which I thought was borderline stupid considering the proximity of the hotel and the local police, however where is the thrill if there isn’t any risk right?
Now let me tell you as an inexperience poker player at the time, the influence of alcohol and the fact that these girls knew exactly what they were doing, I was going to get beat, and something in the back of my mind told me not to care regardless.
Well sure enough as our strip poker game progressed I lost hand after hand, after hand without getting my opponents any further than down to revealing their bras until sure enough I was down to my underwear, and then they took that. Now I will say their girls seemed to enjoy this more than I did and it took a little persuading to get my clothes back but in the end it was all worthwhile and when the bar finally closed I got more than I bargained for and all very pleasing, it was one of those very rare occasions where you can lose and still be a winner.
Some of the best memories can't be repeated but they can be treasured. Of course the next best thing to a real live game of strip poker is either a live video chat, or if all else fails check our beautiful ladies in our strip video poker games at the Strip Poker Mens Club.
